| eleven Eleven letters signed 'O T' appeared in the Guide from August to November in 1877. They were reprinted from letters written to the paper in 1870. 'O T' is taken to mean 'Old Timer', the old timer is presumed to be William Furby (1799-1881) who came to Port Hope in 1826. |
