I have an heirloom cane that states on the head “Mr G.D.Peplow,Port Hope M.S School, Dec 9th,1889”
Would this be relevant to the Model School in Port Hope?

My earlier message may have been in error on the name which is quite stylized. It may be “Ed. Peplow” instead of G.D.Peplow.
The Ed. could be an abbreviated Edward, I would assume.
