Where was this church? I am looking for the Welcome United Church Re: The Gifford family but need to know what type of church it was before it became united.
The Baptist Church is still on John Street.
The Welcome United Church, formerly Methodist, is a couple of miles north of Port Hope on Highway 2.
The Welcome United Church Cemetery is south of the church, where the 401 crosses Hwy 2.
The Municipality of Port Hope now encompasses all of Hope Township, including Welcome.
