Form News

We are about to begin our guided tour of 11C, 1959-60. Our first stop will be the Students' Council elections at which Jim Egan topped the poles.
On the left we see Rick, Doug, Donna, Joan D and Barb E bringing home the points on field day. 11C really showed their school spirit as they won the track-cleaning competition.
If you look on your right you will see that we are well represented in all student activities: Gwen, Girls' AA rep; Doug, Boys' AA rep; Ron, Blue 'n' White; Brian Purdy, Music Council; and Barb E, Dramatic Society.
Next stop - a rollicking hayride and dance which was enjoyed by all, especially by Barb B and was endured by Mr and Mrs Walker.
As we round the next corner we see the Commencement Exercises where Tony H and Joan D received books for being shield winners. Many received their Intermediate Certificates.
The music(?) you heard as you passed that last room upstairs was played by Brian, Nyle and Garry who are our music students. The real talent lies in Harold who plays a guitar and mouth organ duet in one.
We are now approaching the gym where Joan M is brushing up on her basketball and Jim B is getting in condition after the long weekend, (Fri, Sat, Sun). Now take a step outside and observe those rugged football players, Bob S of the Senior team and Barry S of the Juniors. Rick and Lealand (equipment men) attempt to repair the uniforms, (but that thread just won't fit in that needle.)
The strange odour now drawing near is from the Physics Lab where Gloria, Kathy, Teresa, and Pearl are working diligently at their favourite subject.
Now on to the public speaking contest. Barb E and Ron J represented our class with Ron placing third in the grade 11 competition.
Another form party has taken place. This time the host was Doug McCool with transportation and entertainment supplied by Dave Watts and Larry A respectively.
Upon entering the art room you would notice two pieces of art very well done by Tony and Loraine Huard.
Last but not least you come upon Heather in her favorite class, History.
Donna left us in February and we wish her success, whether it be in the office or on the ice.
Our final stop and the end of our tour is room 220 for announcements with our home teacher, Mr McLean.
